What types of CPAP mask exist?

Four main families: nasal pillows (seal at the nostrils, minimal contact), nasal (covers the nose), full face (covers nose and mouth), and hybrid (covers the mouth and seals under the nose, without resting on the bridge). Our mask catalog explains them with real models.

Can I buy a complete mask without a prescription?

Generally no: complete masks are considered medical devices and require a prescription and professional fitting. That's why this finder orients you by type but doesn't link to any store.

Which mask fits if I breathe through my mouth?

The families that cover the mouth — full face and hybrid — are designed exactly for that. If you think you mouth-breathe because of congestion or another specific cause, raise it with your doctor before switching types.

Does a beard prevent using CPAP?

Generally no, but it does affect the seal depending on the type of facial support. Minimal-contact designs tend to get along better with beards than wide facial cushions.
